When you use forms in ActiveConversion, you can choose to automatically send an email to people as they fill out your form. You do this with a combination of the Forms feature and the Nurture Email Feature.
Step 1: Set up a nurture email
Login to ActiveConversion. Go to Marketing > Emails > Nurture Email
Click "New Nurture Campaign" and follow through the prompts. You'll be walked through a drag-and-drop HTML email editor where you can craft the perfect message.
On the last step, Schedule, choose to send the email "Immediately". This will set it up so that whenever a form is filled out, your confirmation email will be sent out within a few minutes of the form fill.
Once you've set up your campaign, it automatically is saved as a draft, so it's not able to send emails yet. You'll need to go to click the Drafts tab and click "Activate" beside the appropriate campaign so it's ready to go.
Step 2: Connect the email to your form
In ActiveConversion, go to Marketing > Forms
On the Forms screen, you'll see a list of any forms you've already created in ActiveConversion under the ActiveConversion Forms heading. If you don't have a form yet, use the "Create Form" button to get started.
Forms we've detected on your website that were not made through ActiveConversion will be under Detected Forms. If a form isn't showing up in this list, there are a few easy things to check, covered on the Connect Your Website To Forms page.
Once you have a form set up:
- Click the name of the form you'd like to have an autoresponder for under Marketing > Forms
- Click the "Setup" tab
- Click "Advanced Settings"
- Select your nurture campaign from the "Add prospect to nurture campaign" dropdown
- Click "Save Form"
3. Test your campaign
Now, take a minute to test it out. Fill out the form on your website and you should receive your auto-responder email!
