Are you using a CRM that you'd like to tie in to ActiveIQ? We have tied ActiveIQ into Zapier, a tool that links web apps together so they can share data.
Because of this, ActiveIQ can now send lead information directly to CRMs like:
- SalesForce
- Microsoft Dynamics
- Pipedrive
- Zoho
- Base
- SugarCRM
- And more - see full list at https://zapier.com/apps/categories/crm/
Once Zapier is connected, you can select any company, prospect, or lead and push the contact and their activity history to Zapier.
How does Zapier work?
Zapier lets you build your own automated workflow (a Zap) to tie your CRM to ActiveIQ in the Zapier editor with a few clicks, no code required.
A Zap is a connection between two apps made of a trigger and an action. Whenever the trigger event happens, Zapier will automatically make the action event happen for you.
Currently available Zaps:
- Send selected contacts from ActiveIQ to your CRM for your sales team's use

To send selected ActiveIQ contacts to your CRM:
Zapier’s free accounts support single-step Zaps. This means you could find a contact in ActiveIQ (trigger) and create a new contact in your CRM (action) using a free account.
To set up the trigger (ActiveIQ) portion of your Zap:
- Log in to ActiveIQ
- Go to Configure > Connectors > Zapier and copy the “Activation Key” found there
- Log in to Zapier
- Click the orange “Make a Zap” button, top right
- On the “Choose a Trigger App” screen, type “ActiveIQ” into the dropdown box and select it
- On the “Select ActiveIQ Trigger” screen, select “Push Contact to Zapier” and click “Save + Continue”
- Click the “Connect an Account” button
- Paste your “Activation Key” into the “API Key” field in Zapier and click “Yes, Continue”
- Click the “Test” button to ensure the connection works
- Once you receive a “Success” message, click “Save + Continue”
- On the “Set up ActiveIQ Contact” screen, click “Continue” - don’t fill anything in on this screen
- On the “Pick a Sample” screen”, click “Skip this step”
- Click “Continue With Default Sample”
To set up the action (CRM) portion of your Zap:
- Choose an Action App (your CRM)
- Run through the wizard and map out what you’d like to have happen in your CRM.
When setting up your Zap, you’ll be able to create a template to tell your Zap were contact information from ActiveIQ should appear in your CRM. Most of our users Zap the first and last names job title, email address, phone number, and company name.
Once the Zap is set up and running, new contacts in ActiveIQ should automatically start appearing in your CRM.

Why is my Zap creating duplicate contacts in my CRM?
The most likely reason is if you’re using a single-step Zap to add a contact, but not checking first if that contact already exists.
