Adding ActiveIQ to WordPress

How to Install and Enable the activeiq-wp.zip Plugin in WordPress.

1. Download the Plugin
   Ensure you have downloaded the activeiq-wp.zip file to your computer.

2. Log In to WordPress Dashboard
   Visit yourwebsite.com/wp-admin and enter your credentials.

3. Navigate to Plugins
   In the left-hand menu, click on Plugins > Add New.

4. Upload the Plugin

   • Click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the page.
   • Click Choose File, select the activeiq-wp.zip file from your computer, and then click Install Now.

5. Activate the Plugin

   • After the installation is complete, click the Activate Plugin button.

No further configuration is required. The plugin is now installed and ready to use.

Alternatively, you can add the tracking code manually in your footer.php file of your current theme in WordPress

1. Log In to WordPress Dashboard
   Visit yourwebsite.com/wp-admin and enter your credentials.

2. Go to the Theme Editor

   • In the left-hand menu, go to Appearance > Theme Editor.
   • A warning may appear about editing theme files. Click I Understand to proceed.

3. Select the footer.php File

   • On the right-hand side, you’ll see a list of theme files.
   • Locate and click on Theme Footer (footer.php) to open it in the editor.

4. Add Your Code

   • Scroll to the bottom of the file, just before the closing </body> tag.
   • Paste the code you want to add.

5. Save Changes

   • Click the Update File button at the bottom of the editor to save your changes.

If the Appearance > Theme Editor option is unavailable, it means your theme restricts manual file editing. In this case, please contact ActiveIQ support team for assistance.
